Job Summary
The Evening Cook is responsible for preparing and serving nutritious and appetizing meals that meet the dietary needs of our residents. This role requires teamwork, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to established menus and dietary guidelines.
- Ensure food is served in an appealing and timely manner.
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Assist with inventory management, including proper storage and rotation of food items.
- Collaborate with dietary staff to accommodate residents' dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Monitor food temperatures and quality throughout meal preparation and service.
- Assist with cleaning tasks, including dishwashing, equipment sanitization, and kitchen upkeep.
- Participate in every-other-weekend shifts as part of the rotation.
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training preferred.
- Previous experience as a cook, preferably in a healthcare or institutional setting.
- Knowledge of dietary needs and restrictions for senior populations is a plus.
- Ability to follow recipes and maintain portion control standards.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Commitment to teamwork and excellent communication skills.

Salary : $3,000
