Nye Health Services, a family-owned company that has been recognized nationally for our care, service, and culture, is seeking a full-time cook for our Meadows campus located in Norfolk, NE. The shift is Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00am - 6:00pm.

Job Summary:
The Evening Cook is responsible for preparing and serving nutritious and appetizing meals that meet the dietary needs of our residents. This role requires teamwork, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals according to established menus and dietary guidelines.
- Ensure food is served in an appealing and timely manner.
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Assist with inventory management, including proper storage and rotation of food items.
- Collaborate with dietary staff to accommodate residents’ dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Monitor food temperatures and quality throughout meal preparation and service.
- Assist with cleaning tasks, including dishwashing, equipment sanitization, and kitchen upkeep.
- Participate in every-other-weekend shifts as part of the rotation.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training preferred.
- Previous experience as a cook, preferably in a healthcare or institutional setting.
- Knowledge of dietary needs and restrictions for senior populations is a plus.
- Ability to follow recipes and maintain portion control standards.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Commitment to teamwork and excellent communication skills.
