POSITION SUMMARY:
New York Film Academy Youth Summer Camps is looking for an organized, enthusiastic, and Microsoft suite-savvy Office Assistant to help support the Youth Office Staff and contribute to a safe, fun, and educational experience for our campers.
New York Film Academy’s Youth Summer Camps provide intensive programs in filmmaking, acting, screenwriting, animation, game design, and photography for campers of ages 10 to 17 years old. Game design, animation, and photography for campers of ages 10 to 17 years old.
Effective Dates: June 23, 2025 - August 20, 2025
REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following responsibilities are general duties that a particular employee in this position may or may not be required to perform. The day-to-day duties required of this position may vary due to the fast paced and ever-changing environment.

Support Youth Office, Youth Equipment & TA Manager, Post Department, Edit Lab and Residential/ Activity Director

Obtain and organize attendance for each class

Provide administrative assistance to the day-to-day operation and coordination of the Youth Summer Camps, on-campus and on-line

Distribute weekly schedules to instructors

Assist with orientation and final screenings
-
Assist with day to day contact with parents and campers in non-emergency situations
-
Preform Receptionist duties
-
Assist with program start dates and graduation preparation
-
Organize and maintain Youth Office supplies and materials
-
Respond to any inquiries by phone or email from campers, parents or staff in timely manner

Assist with other duties as assigned by Youth Camp Director, Assistant Director, or Senior Administration
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCIES:

Ability to work with diverse groups of campers, staff, and community members

Strong organizational, administrative and communication skills

Excellent judgment with the ability to manage highly sensitive and confidential information.

Ability to problem solve

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong customer service skills with the ability to meet and serve the public, both in person and by telephone, tactfully and effectively

Perform basic math

Understand written procedures, write routine documents, and speak clearly; and understand multi-step written and oral instructions
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION:

High School/GED required.

Experience working in a fast-paced multi-tasking results driven environment with attention to detail.

Experience and comfortability with campers ages 10-17
-
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Suites and Google Suites.
