The role of the Director of Educational Services is to manage, lead, and provide exceptional oversight of Pre-K to 12 school teams and partnerships.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain exceptional partner relationships through proactive engagement and issue resolution. Build and maintain a collaborative, authentic relationship with school leaders. This would include on-site school visits and regular meetings.
- Meet with school partners to assess clinical needs, evaluate current staffing performance, and ensure special education compliance.
- Foster strong relationships with all field staff members by providing clinical support, coaching, resources, and guidance.
- Conduct individual meetings with each clinical staff member to better understand employee needs and the need for additional and/or future resources.
- Develop a sense of community by working with lead clinicians/clinical managers, facilitating communities of practice, and encouraging communication with and among staff members.
- Support recruitment – including recruiting, networking, and interviewing.
- Master’s degree in a special education-related field.
- Five years of experience in the field, a minimum of 3 years of experience in an educational leadership role.
- Ability to manage multiple clinical disciplines and school leaders at various locations.
- Working knowledge of special education compliance.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Organizational, planning, and time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills in managing employee relations, personnel issues, and performance.
