We are seeking an experienced Educational Professional to join our team at the NYS Office of Children and Family Services. As a key member of our educational staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction and support to students in one or more subject areas.
Job Summary:
- Instruct courses recognized by the New York State Education Department.
- Prepare or modify curriculum and course outlines.
- Develop daily or weekly lesson plans and conduct a schedule of formal instruction.
Requirements:
- One year of permanent competitive or 55b/c service in this title or in a title eligible for 70.1 transfer.
- Certification in classroom teaching in the appropriate specialty.
- Two years of post-certification teaching experience in that same specialty (for Teacher 4 level).
Preferred Specialties:
Science 7-12 is a preferred specialty, with certification at the 7-12 grade level.
Appointment Levels:
- Teacher 2: SG - 13 / $49,363.
- Teacher 3: SG - 15 / $55,152.
- Teacher 4: SG - 17 / $61,516.
