What are the responsibilities and job description for the DBT Therapist position at Nystrom & Associates Ltd?
As a Dialectical Behavior Therapist (DBT) at Nystrom & Associates, you will participate in our leading adherent DBT program certified by the Department of Human Services. You will work alongside a team of experienced clinicians to design and implement treatment/interventions reflective of identified patient needs. Our DBT Clinicians carry a caseload of both DBT and Outpatient Therapy clients.
Job Duties:
- Participate in a DBT Consultation team, all components of adherent DBT treatment, and monthly trainings facilitated by DBT teammates
- Complete mental health diagnostic assessments on new patients
- Provide high-quality ongoing therapy with patients
- Help lead weekly DBT Groups
- Maintain complete and organized outpatient electronic health records
- Ensure appropriate coordination of care for patients and collaboration with other professionals
- Attend and participate in clinical staff meetings including case and peer reviews
We Provide Comprehensive Training:
- FREE 5-Day DBT Foundational training through Behavioral Tech for individuals as part of their employment with our DBT program
- Intensive 1:1 training with an experienced DBT Lead
- Ongoing consultation and supervision

Requirements:
- Mental Health Professional per Minnesota State Statute 245i.04.02 regulations
- Unrestricted license (LMFT, LPCC, LICSW, or LP)
- Open to considering unlicensed candidates depending on experience
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) experience preferred but not required
Benefits and Compensation:

Salary Options:
- Licensed: $68,000 - $75,000
- Pre-licensed: $50,000 - $55,000
Commission-Based Salary Options:
- Licensed: $66,000 - $124,000
- Pre-licensed: $58,000 - $91,000
Please note that actual compensation may be determined by various factors such as education, experience, skillset, internal equity, schedule, and/or location. Employees in these positions are W2.
