Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Cook.

In this role, the successful candidate Creates NYU Langone Catering Experience by providing quality food/service that meets all NYU Langone Catering standards

Job Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates knowledge of the organizations Service Standards and incorporates them into the performance of duties.
• Maintains kitchen equipment and utensils with care; and a clean and sanitary work area.
• Ensures smooth kitchen operation by communicating with the Catering Team.
• Ensures the highest quality of food preparation and presentation
• Prepares food items in accordance to recipes to support menu.
• Provides clients with the highest quality of food product that consistently and effectively reflect the luxurious nature of NYU Lutheran Catering.
• Provides a NYU Langone luxury Catering dining experience in a warm and personalized manner.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a High School Diploma and Associates Culinary Arts Degree At least Six 3 years high end Catering experience in cold and hot production or related hotel and/or Restaurant experience with proven records ServSafe Certification completion within first six 6 months of job Follows proper safety hygiene and sanitation practices in the designated kitchen areas HACCP Must be able to read write and speak English Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.

Required Licenses: ServSafe Certification

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $50,143.59 - $55,294.61 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
