What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lab Tech position at O-AT-KA?

Available Shifts :
2nd - Full-Time - 10-hour shift (paid meal period) on a rotating schedule of 8 days on, 6days off (schedule may vary during training).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Responsible for performing analytical testing on production samples and finished product samples to determine compliance with FDA, NYS regulations and Company standards.
- Ability to engage in analytical thinking and investigations to determine root cause of quality nonconformance issues
- Responsible for receiving trailers of bulk products and testing of raw and heat-treated dairy ingredients to determine compliance with FDA, NYS regulations and Company standards.
- Must follow all SOP procedures and complete required documentation / checklists
- Maintain area cleanliness, report leaks and / or out of spec product and participate in continuous improvement efforts
- Follow all safety requirements to include housekeeping, lock out / tag out, PPE, fall protection, and facility safety efforts
