The Managing Director is responsible for the region achieving its objectives, which can be summarized as: 1) obtaining net new accounts, 2) defending the existing client base, and 3) building the O.C. Tanner brand locally.
The Managing Director reports directly to the Area Sales Vice-President.
Responsibilities include:
- Full-time and exclusive focus on developing and growing O.C. Tanner's book of business in a given territory
- Active and continuous lead generation, prospecting, appointment-setting, prospect nurturing and effective follow-up
- Enhance client value through careful account planning/prioritization, timely and intelligent action
- Effective collaboration with Sales Vice President, Strategic Solutions Team and various Subject-Matter Experts in selling and developing major clients
- Direct sales and office team processes, manage expenses, prioritize team activities
- Understanding and supporting company policies, practices and procedures
- Record and track client interactions and sales metrics in Salesforce
- Coach and develop direct reports to build the skills and experience they need to excel in their current role and advance their career
- Prepare and execute performance reviews according to company policy
- Maintain a safe, secure, and legal work environment where direct reports feel appropriately challenged and recognized and receive the feedback they need to grow and develop
