Job Title - Logistics Analyst II
Job Summary
Our logistics team is seeking a dynamic and experienced Logistics Analyst to help optimize our shipping network and reduce costs. The role involves negotiating contracts and maintaining relationships with strategic logistics service providers for domestic and international transportation. Key tasks include analyzing shipment data, creating and enforcing routing guidelines, and leading improvements to streamline operations and achieve personal, team, and company goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Sourcing and Negotiation: Assist in sourcing and qualifying new logistics service providers. Negotiate service contracts, complete RFIs & RFPs, and analyze bids, rates, costs, and tariffs to identify savings and determine the best transportation options.
- Service Provider Management: Oversee agreements with logistics service providers, enforce service level agreements, establish and document SOPs, ensure accurate billing, and enforce business rules and routing guidelines to optimize carrier and service selection. Build and maintain strong relationships with service providers.
- Project Management: Manage logistics projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
- Data Analysis: Utilize advanced data analysis techniques to summarize findings, identify trends, find errors, highlight issues, and recommend adjustments to business strategies, practices, or policies.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement and cost savings.
- Leadership and Team Management: Lead a project team of cross-functional experts to achieve desired outcomes. Mentor others.
- Training and Development: Develop self-help tools for internal customers and provide training on their use.
- Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Experience: Experience in eCommerce fulfillment working with transportation providers of all modes: Small Parcel, Truckload, Less-Than-Truckload, Specialized Home Delivery, International Freight Forwarders, and Customs Brokers.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience working with carriers, freight forwarders, import/export processes, and process improvement.
- Education: Bachelor's degree (Supply Chain, Logistics, Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, MS Access, and/or Tableau, advanced Excel functions.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with import/export regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
- Lean: Familiar with kaizen, improvement kata, yokoten, and continuous improvement.
- Software Experience: Experience with logistics management software (e.g., SAP, TMS), including SAP transportation planning.

Schedule
- This position works a hybrid schedule: Monday-Wednesday in the office and Thursday and Friday remote with exceptions. The first 90 days are required in office, Monday-Friday.
