About the Position:
We are seeking an experienced attorney to join our dynamic legal team in Albany, New York. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 10 years of experience in litigation [preferable, but not necessarily in construction law], including drafting and negotiating contracts and handling disputes [mediation, arbitration and litigation]. This is a great opportunity for an attorney to lead our firm’s construction law department after the retirement of our current department head.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and review construction contracts.
- Represent clients in construction disputes, including litigation, arbitration, and mediation.
- Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, pleadings, and legal opinions.
- Collaborate with other attorneys on construction-related cases.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the New York State Bar.
- 3–10 years of experience practicing construction law or litigation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines effectively.
