Key Responsibilities:
1. Installation and Setup:
- Install and set up welding machines and equipment at customer locations.
- Ensure proper calibration and configuration of machines to meet operational standards.
2. Maintenance and Repairs:
- Perform routine maintenance on welding machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and part replacement.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, making necessary repairs or adjustments.
3. Technical Support:
- Provide technical support to customers, assisting with operational questions and troubleshooting issues.
- Train customers on proper use and maintenance of welding equipment.
4. Quality Assurance:
- Conduct tests and inspections to ensure that machines are functioning correctly and meeting performance standards.
- Keep detailed records of service activities, repairs, and customer interactions.
5. Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working on welding equipment.
- Report any safety concerns or equipment hazards to management.
6. Inventory Management:
- Maintain an inventory of spare parts and supplies needed for repairs and maintenance.
- Order and procure parts as necessary to ensure timely service delivery.
7. Customer Relations:
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Follow up with customers after service to ensure issues are resolved and address any further concerns.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in welding technology or mechanical engineering is preferred.
- Previous experience in servicing welding machines or related equipment.
- Strong knowledge of welding processes and equipment (MIG, TIG, Stick, etc.).
- Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Work Environment:
- This role may require travel to customer sites and can involve working in various environments, including workshops and outdoor settings.
- Exposure to noise, fumes, and mechanical hazards; adherence to safety standards is essential.
