JOB TITLE:
Human Resource/Business Office Administrative Assistant
JOB GOAL:
To assist in the daily operation and organization of the district through performing Human Resource and Business Office Functions
REPORTS TO:
Superintendent/Director of Finance
TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma and postsecondary degree of related work experience preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required
- Human Resource and/or Accounting experience preferred
- Established and proficient ability to multi-task
- Attention to detail and precision with all tasks
- Efficient, accommodating demeanor
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to effectively work with employees, students, and families
- Willingness to assume additional duties during high demands
- Effective at working under pressure
- Strong communication skills and customer service skills
DUTIES AND PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Onboard new employees, process employee forms, and oversee compliance documents/processes.
- Coordinate benefit enrollment, changes, and terminations.
- Maintain employee attendance records, directory, and related employee records.
- Process payroll vendor payments, bank reconciliations, and accounts payable transactions as directed.
- Process student work permits.
- Process and maintain accounts receivable transactions as directed
- Assist with student fee management.
- Assist with record retention.
- Assist with food service reporting.
- Assist with the facility rental process.
- Assist with general clerical services including, but not limited to, answering phones, filing, taking messages, scheduling and coordinating meetings, greeting and assisting parents, employees, students and visitors.
- Other duties as assigned.
COMPENSATION: $18.50/hr
BENEFITS: This position is eligible for medical/dental/vision/life insurance and paid time-off. This position participates in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF).
