JOB TITLE:
Computer Help Desk IT Technician
REPORTS TO:
Director of Technology
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong work ethic, daily attendance, people skills, positive attitude, and adaptability to change
- High school diploma
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with platforms such as Microsoft and Google
DUTIES AND PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: (Training will be provided)
- Manage the checkout and return of our laptops, Chromebook, hotspots and other devices for student/faculty checkout.
- Assist in providing basic technical help and user accounts to students, parents and faculty.
- Clean, inventory and perform basic software updates to all checkout laptops and hotspots.
- Disconnect/reconnect technology in rooms prior to and after summer floor waxing.
- Must be able to move 30lbs at times and get underneath desks.
- Assist with Clerical duties related to inventory and monthly invoicing
- Setting up Online testing for the ACT, SAT, and other state-wide required student testing. Ensure Chromebooks and Labs have the proper hardware installed and ready to go
- SOPPA Contract management.
- Event Tech Support (Prom, MEMC, Homecoming, wrestling, FBLA)s
- Assist teachers and students with SIS and LMS systems, help in the conversion process from Blackboard to Canvas
- Lead training sessions for new Hardware and Software (ViewSonic Touchscreen Monitors, Surface Pros, LMS, PaperCut)
- Administrator for device and profile Management (Lightspeed, Apple School Manager, Google Admin, Microsoft Azure, Office 365 Admin, PaperCut, Paper, LMS)
- iPad, Chromebook, Surface, Hotspot, and Checkout Laptop set up
- MultiFactor Support and Management
- Imaging and installing new hardware
SALARY AND BENEFITS:
Salary for this position is $17.25/hour. This position is eligible for medical/dental/vision/life insurance benefits and paid time-off. This position will participate in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF).
