Commercial Insurance Customer Service Representative
Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Insurance Customer Service Representative to join our insurance team. As a Commercial Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our commercial insurance clients. Your primary focus will be on maintaining client relationships, addressing inquiries, processing policy changes, cross selling, and assisting with policy renewals. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of insurance products and services, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for commercial insurance clients, addressing their inquiries, concerns, and service requests promptly and professionally.
- Provide exceptional customer service by building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, understanding their unique insurance needs, and offering appropriate solutions.
- Process policy changes, endorsements, and policy renewals accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with company guidelines and industry regulations.
- Collaborate closely with producers and underwriters to ensure seamless communication and efficient handling of client requests.
- Assist clients in completing necessary forms, applications, and documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct policy reviews and identify opportunities to cross-sell or upsell additional insurance coverage based on clients’ evolving needs.
- Maintain accurate and organized client records, documentation, and correspondence using our designated systems and software.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, insurance products, and regulatory changes to provide knowledgeable support and advice to clients.
- Contribute to team meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development activities to enhance your insurance knowledge and skills.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years experience in Commercial Insurance
- High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is a plus.
- Proven experience in a customer service or client-facing role.
- Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, policies, and procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including active listening and effective problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient computer skills and experience with insurance agency management systems. AMS360 preferred.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently, multitask, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated professionalism and integrity in handling sensitive client information and maintaining confidentiality.
- A valid insurance license or willingness to obtain one within a specified timeframe.
- A team player who enjoys collaboration with other team members.
