Job Description
This will be a hybrid position within the Perrysburg office.
The Business Insurance Analyst role is primarily accountable for and assists in the coordination, administration, management, and execution of various global business insurance policies and claims, including the consolidated accounting of the O-I captive insurance company. The role requires interacting with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. Insurance brokers, auditors) in all countries where O-I has operations to collect and report risk-related activities and issues throughout the organization (e.g. Health and Safety, Legal, Finance, Compensation and Benefits, Manufacturing, and individual Plants
Responsibilities:
- Insurance Policies: Assist with the renewal and procurement of various lines of global insurance, including property, liability, and specialty coverages, including collecting and compiling underwriting and loss information; ensure accurate and timely submission of underwriting information and prepare premium allocations. Manage the surety bond program.
- Policy Management: Maintain and organize all insurance policies, endorsements, and related documentation. Review insurance binders, invoicing, and policies for accuracy and compliance. Manage Certificate of Insurance (COI) issuance and delivery.
- Claims Management: Manage the resolution and data collection for insurance claims across various lines, collaborate with stakeholders to ensure efficient claims processing and resolution.
- Contract Review: Assist with the review of contracts to identify and mitigate potential risks Provide recommendations to ensure compliance with risk management guidelines.
- Compliance and Captive Management: Coordinate annual audits of insurance programs and facility risk loss control surveys by carriers. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, company controls.
- Accounting and Analysis: Performing various account analysis in connection with monthly general ledger closings, including the Bermuda captive accounting and compliance. As well as analysis of workers compensation general ledger accounts and other workers compensation financial activities; assessing and managing overall cost of risk.
- Corporate Risk Management Initiatives: Support the development and implementation of risk management initiatives, including the assist in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risk through various programs such as facility loss mitigation.
Qualifications
- 5 years of insurance and accounting experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or similar field preferred
- Certified Risk Management Professional (RIMS-CRMP), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), or other insurance designation preferred

Salary Range: The expected salary range for this position is between $90,000 - $105,000 annually. Actual pay will be adjusted based upon candidate experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
