Duties and Responsibilities
- Learn, apply, and promote the Vision, Mission, and Values of O’Neal Manufacturing Services.
- Assure that we retain business that is profitable, sustainable and collectible.
- Interact with O’Neal procurement personnel as needed.
- Closely monitor on-time delivery, quality statistics and other service performance metrics with their assigned accounts.
- Prepare new business proposals using the OMS cost estimating and quoting tools.
- Coordinate or lead cost estimating activities with Manufacturing Analyst, Engineering or Plant Management.
- Work with any departments or people at the plant or corporate level to solve problems that impact the ability to achieve strategic objectives with the account.
- Work with management to determine appropriate pricing levels for assigned accounts.
- Manage any breakdown in customer communications.
- Inform customers of supply and price trends.
- Keep informed on new products or services and other general information of interest to customers.
- Communicate to the organization significant developments with customers, markets or industries.
- Work with Pricing Analyst to ensure price updates are in compliance with customer agreements.
- Assure that accurate forecast data entered into E-1 and/ or S & OP
- May assist or lead in creating formal presentations to customers.
- May assist or lead in the preparation and organization of the information needed to conduct the planned business review meetings with customers.
- Monitor adherence by OMS and the customer to contracts, supply agreements, or memorandum of understanding (MOU) and report to management.
- Assist others, as needed, in the development of new business with existing customers.
- Work collaboratively with division materials management people to assure appropriate supply of raw material for customer demand.
- Assist Pricing Analyst to determine profitability of existing business.
- Travel as needed to accomplish desired results. Overnight travel may be required occasionally.
- Plan and schedule customer visits as needed to accomplish these duties and responsibilities.
- Comprehensive understanding of the principles used in the pricing strategies.
- Work collaboratively with Director of Commercial Activity to assure accurate proposals to the customer.
- Engage effectively in technical discussion with internal associates or our client’s personnel.
- Understand the financial performance of the division.
- Work collaboratively with collections specialists to resolve payments outside of terms.
Skills and Qualifications
- Associates degree in engineering or a related field, or may be pursuing such degree. Non-degreed candidates with extensive processing specialist or equivalent experience (3 or more years) may be considered.
- Experience in using Microsoft office applications.
