DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and plate seasonal dishes that enhance wine-tasting experiences at a luxury level
  • Execute wine-friendly food preparation with precision and artistry
  • Apply pairing techniques to elevate the guest experience and align with our fine dining standards
  • Maintain food safety, cleanliness, and proper ingredient handling
  • Work efficiently across multiple stations in a fast-paced, high-end kitchen
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless service and exceptional hospitality
  • Assist with banquets and events, delivering high-quality dining experiences

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. 

  • 1 year of culinary experience is required. 2 years of experience in fine dining, winery, or upscale restaurant environments is preferred
  • Culinary degree or formal training is preferred
  • Experience in classic and modern cooking techniques; familiarity with or an eagerness to learn fish, vegetable, and meat butchery as well as pasta cooking and/or dough preparation and sauce making
  • A high level of organization, precision, and respect for ingredients (mise en place)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both kitchen and front-of-house staff to create a seamless guest experience 
  • Familiarity with inventory management and minimizing food waste
  • Understanding of food allergies, dietary restrictions, and menu adaptations
  • Commitment to sustainability and farm-to-table practices
  • Exceptional attention to detail, self-motivation, and ability to follow precise instructions 
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and events

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following: 

  • Ability to walk, stand, and bend for prolonged periods 
  • Perform some repetitive motion activities
  • Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously 
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. and perform tasks requiring stooping, squatting, and reaching


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Ability to work outdoors in varying extremes of weather to include heat, cold, and rain 
  • Moderate noise levels in a professional kitchen setting
