Low Voltage Systems Installation Technician
Job Summary
Primary job duties include safe and efficient installation of low voltage system wiring and equipment.
Essential Duties and Functions
- Willingness and ability to learn to read and understand building plans and blueprints of electrical layouts for low voltage wiring systems.
- Drill holes for wiring in wall studs, joists, ceilings, floors and other areas as required.
- Mount raceways and conduits, and fasten wires to structural building components.
- Feed cables through access holes, roof spaces, and cavity walls to reach fixtures and devices.
- Position and terminate cables, wires and fiber optic cabling.
- Mount and fasten control panels, door and window contacts, sensors and video cameras.
- Attach electrical and telephone wiring in order to connect system components.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements
- Knowledge of low voltage security, alarm and/or communications systems is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with and ability to safely use hand and power tools.
- Ability to effectively and professionally communicate both orally and in written form with supervision, sales, peers and customers is required.
- Current valid driver’s license is required. Driving record is subject to Company review and approval as a condition of employment for this position.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Ability to read and write in English is required.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this position, an employee may be exposed to ambient temperatures ranging from 0 degrees F to 100 degrees F. Depending on the work environment and site conditions, proper use of safety PPE will be required when applicable.
