What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Services Coordinator position at Oahu Psychological Services?
We're a small, growing psychology practice in Aiea hiring for team player who is able to grow with us! We're hiring for a full-time, experienced Patient Services Coordinator, to support both our team of clinicians and admin staff.
Your core skills in patient service and medical office experience will be vital in managing front desk operations, handling medical records, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. This is an in-office position with heavy phone and computer work.
Duties Include:
- Appointment Scheduling
- Checking patients in and out
- Verifying and processing insurances, authorizations, and referrals
- Assisting with billing, payment collection and electronic payment reconciliation
- Clinician support
- Keeping offices neat and clean
- Other duties as business needs dictate.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree, or Associate's degree with office/admin experience
- Prior work in a medical or behavioral health setting desirable!
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Detail-oriented, flexible, results-driven problem solver who readily identifies priorities and able to complete tasks/responsibilities with efficiency and accuracy.
Starting rate is $20/hour, negotiable based on experience. Rate may increase after probationary period.
