The Coffee, Chocolate, Bakery Entry Level Role:
The purpose of this role is to support the CliffMade team (Oak Cliff Coffee Roasters, 5 Mile Chocolate, Candor Bread, and Davis Street Espresso) by learning, understanding, & executing processes with accuracy then speed.
At CliffMade we offer a thorough and systematic training program that teaches you the skills and expertise for crafting good coffee and food with well-sourced ingredients. In our training program and beyond, we offer you many opportunities for growth, learning, and creativity.
After completing the initial training and onboarding for this entry level role, employees have the opportunity to move forward in either our Barista program at Davis Street Espresso or one of our Production programs at Oak Cliff Coffee Roasters, Candor Bread, or 5 Mile Chocolate.
The Coffee, Chocolate, Bakery's 5 Major Contributive Responsibilities:
While not exhaustive, this is a general idea of the responsibility of this role.
· Responsible for proactively holding self accountable for learning, understanding, & executing tasks taught.
· Responsible for learning & improving on personal management of products & time, accuracy & then speed.
· Responsible for fostering empathetic relationships with employees & customers.
· Responsible for learning, packaging, fulfilling, & creating excellent products.
· Responsible for learning, understanding, & optimal operation of all equipment, programs, & facilities.
Tasks (not limited to):
· Beautiful coffee bags, shelved & staged correctly
· Beautiful kitchen orders, made correctly & timely
· Accurate & attentive packaging, chopping, &/or mixing
· Learning, understanding, & executing processes, methods, & CliffMade quality standards
· Handwashing Dishes
· Maintenance/Cleaning processes & checklists
· Building & Strengthening Relationships with Clients & Team
This role is entry level, $11-12/hr*, Monday-Saturday, availability hours: M-F 5.30am-5pm Sat 6.30am-5pm, and 25-40 hrs/wk.
*This is the starting pay, there is a $2 raise or additional hourly tips after the 90 day onboarding & training period.
This role requires no prior experience/education—preferred experience/education in hospitality, baking, &/or coffee.
