SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develops and manages the budget for the gaming department and beverage department
- Oversees the hiring, training, performance management and corrective action processes for the Gaming Operations, Gaming Performance and Beverage departments
- Reviews and manages the department’s financial results
- Ensures the safety and security of team members and guests. Manages processes and programs to effectively control and reduce lost time injuries
- Approves large jackpots above levels authorized for subordinates as set out in the SOP
- Reviews staffing levels to maintain an appropriate level of employment
- Delegates duties and assigns responsibilities
- Develops team members, interviews, hires, coaches, and evaluates
- Directs and manages gaming equipment conversions, placement, and repair
- Reviews gaming activities and promotional statuses with the General Manager
- Monitors and adjusts performance for both the gaming floor in comparison with local competition and optimal gaming mix and pricing strategy
- Meets with departmental directors and managers as necessary
- Ensures compliance with all gaming regulations, the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and the property’s BSA Policy
- Monitors for suspicious activity as defined by the BSA and the property’s BSA Policy
- Other duties as assigned
STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE
- Maintains the highest standards of leadership, training and overall management while overseeing all aspects of the Gaming Operations, Gaming Performance and Beverage departments
- Maintaining a professional working relationship among all personnel
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Leads by example relative to exemplary customer service both internal and external
- Willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of gaming machines
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
- 7-10 years of gaming management experience in a multi-device 24-hour operation
- Prior experience working in beverage operations preferred.
- 4-year degree in related fields or equivalent work experience is preferred
- Significant experience and expertise collecting, organizing, evaluating and presenting Gaming Performance Data
- Experience using Aristocrat Oasis Accounting System a plus
- Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license
