What are the responsibilities and job description for the Overnight Security Guard position at Oak Hill Country Club?

Job Description: Works with the Lodging and Front Office Manager to plan and direct the club's security operations to protect employees, members, guests and the club's assets and property. Oversees the property's emergency response program and is one of the main points of contact during emergencies. Also, serves as a main point of contact for overnight cottage guests in needs of various services (Shuttle service, first aid, luggage, etc.).

- Reports to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and dressed in accordance with Oak Hill Country Club's appearance standards.

Safety & Security Job Requirements
- Establishes and enforces security procedures for protection of members, guests, and employees and their property; recommends additional controls and procedural changes to other departments that will provide increased protection.
- Exercises general supervision over parking lot and golf course operations by providing systematic patrols to assure protection of vehicles and property, controls access to parking lots and institutes traffic and parking procedures.
- Assists shuttle services if necessary.
- Strictly enforces no speeding and reckless driving on club grounds.
- Inspects, stocks and maintains first aid kits nightly.
- Collaborates with the human resources department in investigation of alleged crimes committed on club premises; cooperates with law enforcement agencies in the investigation of crimes including the exchange of reports and information and by appearance in courts of law.
- Collaborates with the human resources department regarding employment injury reports related to accidents.
- Coordinates removal of unauthorized vehicles from the club's property by towing company.
- Completes written reports of all complaints and violations.
- Assists in Laundry department when necessary.
- Submits nightly shift reports.
- Attends staff training sessions.
- Reports maintenance, lighting, plumbing and electrical problems immediately.
- Patrols the clubhouse, adjacent buildings and tours the club grounds periodically during work shifts.
- Monitors employee locker room, back door and parking areas.
- Conducts routine safety inspections on a random and recurring basis.
- Monitors attire of Oak Hill employee and 3rd party employees entering the club to assure compliance with dress code.
- Completes other appropriate tasks as assigned by the Lodging and Front Office Manager.
Cottage Services Requirements
- Serves as the on-call attendant for cottage guests and assists with shuttles services, baggage, minor maintenance work, etc.
Experience
- Security experience including employment by a law enforcement agency or a private club or other hospitality organization strongly preferred.
Education
- High school or equivalent education required.
- Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or related major preferred.
Licenses & Special Requirements
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain any government required licenses, certificates or permits.
- Valid driver's license.
- Certification in Basic CPR, AED and First Aid.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Must be able to continuously sit, stand and walk, a minimum of 8 hours.
- Must be able to bend, kneel, push and pull over the course of a shift.
- All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Oak Hill's appearance standards.
- Will be required to perform job functions outdoors and be exposed to sun, heat, humidity and other elements.
- Must be able to work a flexible shift that includes early mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, split shifts, and extended shifts.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must have a reliable form of transportation to and from work.
General Information
Scheduled Shifts: Part-time, year-round position. Days and hours are based on club operations and weather conditions.
Wage: Competitive wage, based on experience.
