Salary Range: $45,000 - $55,000

Evaluation
Performance in this position will be evaluated by the Building Principal or designee in accordance with the Board of Education’s policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.

Job Requirements
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with School Psychologist endorsement
- Experience as a school psychologist is preferred but not required

- Demonstrate support for the Mission, Vision, and Goals of the Oak Lawn-Hometown School District 123
- Uphold the established Board of Education policies, regulations, and administrative procedures
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of child and adolescent development and psychopathology
- Display awareness of governmental regulations and of resources available through the school/district and familiarity with resources external to the district
- Flexibility to manage responsibilities across multiple buildings and programs
- Actively participate as a member of the special education team in evaluating students and determining disabilities when case studies are necessary
- Participate in domain and evaluation conferences
- Communicate and cooperate with colleagues, students, parents, and the community as needed to meet professional standards
- Maintain and improve professional competence
- Assess the academic, functional, social-emotional, and cognitive strengths and needs of students using review of records, observation, interviews, and formal and informal tests
- Consult with parents and staff
- Take a leadership role in facilitating the Multi-Tier System of Support (MTSS) process
- Maintain appropriate written records
- Participate in meetings and perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Special Education or designee in accordance with the contract and Board of Education
- Utilize technology to promote learning, creativity, collaboration
- Ability to sit/stand for prolonged periods of time
- Regular attendance and/or physical presence at the job
