Job Summary
The Non-Medical Transportation Driver plays a crucial role in transporting individuals to and from various programs, including adult day services, integrated employment, supported community employment, supported enclave employment, and vocational habilitation. This position requires effective coordination of transportation schedules and communication with department heads, nursing staff, dietary staff, residents, and their responsible parties.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate transportation schedules to ensure timely arrivals and departures.
- Communicate effectively with department heads, nursing staff, dietary staff, residents, and their responsible parties to address transportation needs and concerns.
- Transport individuals within designated timelines while prioritizing their safety and well-being.
- Maintain knowledge and understanding of local, state, and federal rules, regulations, and expectations to ensure compliance.
- Ensure the safety of individuals and staff at all times, reporting any known safety concerns to the supervisor immediately.
- Report allegations of sexual harassment to the supervisor promptly and take necessary actions.
- Notify the supervisor or Administrator/Director of Nursing Services if an injury occurs that requires medical attention, and complete required documentation within 24 hours.
- Report vehicle accidents to the supervisor immediately and complete necessary documentation within 24 hours.
Driving Requirements
- Hold a valid driver's license and maintain a good driving record.
- Be at least 18 years old with a valid Texas driver's license.
- Meet all drivers' standards outlined in the employee handbook, ensuring a clean driving record.
Compensation
$18-$20 per hour
