APPOINTMENT TYPE: Full-Time Regular (FTR-A)
LOCATION: Ft. Gillem, GA (and OCONUS)
*SALARY RANGE: $68,057.60 - $88,483.20/year
ELIGIBLE FOR SIGN-ON BONUS
PURPOSE: Responsible for laboratory level triage procedures, performing X-Rays and physical inspections of captured material to detect, identify, and render safe any initiators/explosives/power sources or firing circuits.
- Utilize standard operating procedures for the storage, testing and transport of samples and components found in captured materials.
- Produce technical reports on findings and develop device profiles
- Provide knowledge and experience relating to global IED device and Techniques, Tactics and Procedures (TTP) threats.
- High school diploma, and 5 years of military EOD experience required.
- Experience with lab level triage procedures, performing X-Rays and physical inspections of captured material to detect, identify, and render safe any initiators/explosives/power sources/firing circuits/components and booby traps.
- Experience with standard operating procedures for the storage, testing and transport of samples and components found in captured materials.
- Demonstrated ability to produce technical reports on findings and develop device profiles.
- Current knowledge of global IED device and Techniques, Tactics and Procedures (TTP) threats.
- Graduate of the Naval School Explosive Ordnance Disposal preferred.
- Must be able to pass security background investigation and to obtain and maintain a TOP Secret security clearance and hold or obtain a US passport.
- Ability to travel CONUS/OCONUS and to pass all deployment requirements for OCONUS medical screenings.
