Security Guard

Oak Security Services LLC is now hiring security guards to join our team. Guards will have weekly schedules based on location, availability, and current company contracts.

We are currently hiring for a part-time position with a guaranteed five shifts a week, mainly weekdays with some weekends. The shifts are 3:30 pm to 9:00 pm with occasional late clock outs no later than 9:30 pm.

We provide security to retail locations throughout Metro Detroit. Our employees must be able to work patrol, foot, and standing posts. We will provide a uniform shirt, belt, and hat, but require our employees to purchase their own all black relaxed fit dress pants or tactical pants and all black shoes.

Requirements:

• 18 years old to apply
• High school education or equivalent
• Must pass a state background check
• Valid driver’s license - NOT a state ID - and reliable transportation
• Prior security experience is preferred, but training is provided
• A working smartphone with the knowledge to work a scheduling application

Responsibilities:

• Provide armed security services to protect clients and their assets
• Security guards report to sites based on a schedule provided via a smartphone app
• Guards will receive training for all sites they are eligible to work
• Officers must be able to conduct mobile patrol, foot patrol, standing posts in duration of at least two hours at a time, and document and report any incidents or suspicious activity using clear and concise language
• Must have a positive attitude and be willing to report to work sites at retail locations
• Enforce access control procedures and verify the identity of individuals entering or exiting the premises

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.50 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 27 per week
