What are the responsibilities and job description for the Garden Center Associate position at Oak Street Garden Shop?
Responsibilities:
- Assist customers with their gardening needs and provide excellent customer service
- Sell gardening products and merchandise to customers
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Communicate effectively with customers
- Maintain a clean and organized garden center
- Stock shelves and displays with gardening supplies and plants
- Assist with floral design/arrangements/container plantings
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills to maintain an orderly garden center
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and provide assistance
- Ability to handle cash transactions and perform basic retail math calculations
- Work on Saturdays
We are looking for an energetic and creative team player who is interested in plants, is personable, and will bring positive energy to our small, independent, retail garden shop.
