What We're Looking For :

Knowledge or interest in seafood and fishing
Experience in fishing or seafood handling is a bonus!
A love for providing excellent customer service with a smile
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle seafood with care
Availability for flexible hours during peak seasons and thrive under pressure and adapt to changing environments with ease.
Bilingual Skills : Proficiency in English; Spanish is a plus.
Safety Standards : Non-slip shoes are required for a safe working environment (please note that the company does not provide these).
Work Authorization : Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Reliable Transportation : You must have reliable transportation to and from work.
Reliability & Strong Work Ethic : We need someone dependable, hardworking, and always ready to help.
Age Requirement : You must be at least 18 years old.

Position Summary :

As a Seafood Associate, you’ll assist customers with seafood selection, preparation tips, and ensure our displays are stocked with the freshest catches. From filleting fish to offering cooking suggestions, your role is all about making our seafood department an exciting place for shoppers! You’ll also help maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety.

Physical Requirements :

Skilled Manipulation : Demonstrate expertise in both gross and fine motor tasks, ensuring precision in handling knives, tools, and seafood with care.

Visual Acuity : Maintain strong peripheral vision and near / far visual accuracy to handle tasks safely and efficiently.

Auditory Skills : Effectively hear and respond to instructions in a dynamic, bustling environment, ensuring smooth operations.

Strength & Mobility : Confidently handle and move objects weighing up to 80 lbs with focus and safety, maintaining efficiency at all times.

Endurance : Stand, walk, and remain active for extended periods, maintaining precision and attention to detail throughout your shift.

Flexibility & Agility : Comfortable bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, and moving fluidly in a fast-paced seafood department.

Environmental Adaptability : Work comfortably in diverse temperature conditions—whether hot, humid, or cold—and tolerate moderate exposure to smoke, steam, dust, and cleaning agents.

Allergy Tolerance : Able to handle various fresh seafood and ingredients without experiencing adverse allergic reactions.

Elevated Reach : Confident in utilizing step-stools or ladders when necessary, and capable of reaching below the waist, at the waist, and overhead to access tools and supplies.

Stability & Balance : Maintain stability and balance while executing tasks efficiently, even in fast-paced or crowded settings.

Clear Communication : Effectively communicate with team members, ensuring smooth, coordinated operations even in busy or noisy environments.
