Freshmen Volleyball Head Coach
Job Description
The Freshmen Volleyball Coach is responsible for running the freshmen program under the direction of
the Varsity Head Coach. We are looking for someone that has leadership abilities and is willing to work
with the philosophy of the volleyball program.
Reports to
- Varsity Girls’ Head Coach
- Director of Athletics with input from Assistant Director of Athletics
Responsibilities
- Regular communication with the Varsity Head Coach, participating athletes and families
- Student Mentoring: spiritual development and athletic skill development
- Conduct organized, structured practices with practice plans
- Program Organization: roster, uniform and equipment inventory, organize practice instruction,
supervision of athletes, etc.
- Program Growth: Interaction with younger program coaches to help set the philosophy of the
school
- Coaching Administration: pre- and post-season meetings with the Varsity Head Coach, parent
meeting, CPR certified, MHSAA Online Coaches Meeting, MHSAA CAP Meeting
- MIVCA Membership
- Attend professional development for self-improvement
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma
- Volleyball coaching experience
- Must be organized and able to work independently with professional attention to detail.
- Support the mission, philosophy, statement of faith, and core values of Oakland Christian
School.
