Oakland Hills Country Club is one of the pre-eminent country clubs in the United States. The Club is home to two championship courses offering a legendary golf experience. Oakland Hills is amidst one of the most critical points of the Club's history as we embark on a multiyear clubhouse construction project following the fire of 2022. Along with the clubhouse, we are building on a foundation of delivering consistent, high-quality services and amenities for a world-class experience throughout the Club.

Job Summary:
Oakland Hills Country Club is seeking an experienced Human Resources Coordinator to join its team. This individual will play a vital role in recruitment, onboarding, and general human resources operations for both seasonal and year-round employees. The successful candidate will work closely with the HR Director to ensure staffing needs are met, employees are supported, and HR policies and procedures are consistently followed, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assists with seasonal recruitment efforts, including posting job openings, social media and screening applicants.
• Develops relationships with area educational institutions to support recruiting efforts.
• Coordinates the onboarding and offboarding process for all new hires and seasonal employees, completing necessary paperwork, tracking drug screening and ensuring compliance with employment laws and country club policies.
• Collaborates with department heads to ensure new employees receive role-specific training and introductions.
• Maintains accurate and up-to-date employee records, including hiring documents, performance evaluations, and benefits information.
• Ensures compliance with I-9 requirements during the onboarding process, rehires and conducts audits as necessary.
• Manages the employee communications and training platform, including adding and removing users and updating content.
• Plans and promotes employee engagement programs to maintain an effective and positive culture.
• Maintains records related to employee benefits administration and assists employees with inquiries regarding benefits.
• Supports the HR Director with any other administrative HR functions as needed, including employee benefits administration, safety compliance, H2B visa processing and employee housing.

Qualifications:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree or HR certification preferred.
• Hospitality or club experience a plus.
• Strong knowledge of human resources principles and practices.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse workforce.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment, especially during peak seasons.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ADP Workforce Now systems preferred.
• Previous experience in country clubs or similar environments is a plus.

Working Conditions:

• This position may require occasional evening or weekend hours, particularly during peak hiring seasons.
• The HR Coordinator will be expected to work in both office and outdoor settings, interacting with a wide range of seasonal and full-time employees.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
