This role will be responsible for completing tasks as assigned by the Customer Service Coordinators and Manager.
Answering patient and family member questions, meeting customer requests
Answering phone calls, scheduling return visits and or rescheduling appointments as necessary
Managing interdepartmental mailboxes and patient correspondence
Scheduling in-office and hospital procedures
Sorting, scanning and faxing and mailing documents as needed
Supporting FMLA, Disability, Medical Records, Scheduling efforts
Obtaining and verifying Insurance information, including proper authorizations as needed
Charging and posting records/paperwork processing, including handling fees
Medical records retrieval as necessary
Charging and posting appropriate record fees
Assisting fellow team members and supporting other locations as needed
Ensure all process/procedure knowledge and actions falls with department standards
Maintains professional and positive team relationships and work environment
Displays willingness and ability to engage in a team approach and professional manner at all times
Ability to maintain focus, calm and an unbiased manner during busy schedules and issue resolution
Ability to communicate with patients and staff in a clear, concise, confident and professional manner
Ability to promote conflict resolution amongst the team, and co workers
Maintains attendance as scheduled including on time arrival and work day finish
Team Player- share job tasks without direction
All other duties as assigned
Ability to multitask
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
1–3-year(s) Customer Service experience
Proficiency (Intermediate level), in operating MS Office, office equipment and managing multi-phone line phone system
Preferred:
Associates Degree
1–3-year(s) Customer Service experience in health care industry
Experience with EMR and PM (Allscripts), Systems
Job Type: Full-time
