Position Summary: The Youth Ultimate Frisbee Coordinator/Director will oversee all youth programming efforts, including camps, clinics, leagues, and school partnerships. This is a dynamic, full-time, year-round role requiring a combination of program delivery, marketing, recruitment, and administrative responsibilities. The position is based in the San Francisco Bay Area and combines in-person fieldwork with remote administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities
Program Development & Delivery (35%)
- Design and implement youth programming, including P.E. classes, after-school programs, camps, clinics, and leagues.
- Facilitate youth leagues, tournaments, and the development of a Juniors academy team.
- Actively participate in delivering programs, ensuring a safe, positive, and engaging environment that promotes skill development, teamwork, and the Spirit of the Game.
- Recruit, hire, train, and manage a team of coaches and program staff.
- Provide ongoing support, feedback, and supervision to ensure high-quality program delivery.
- Develop and execute creative marketing and outreach strategies to drive enrollment and community engagement.
- Coordinate outreach to schools, park districts, and community organizations to schedule school visits and build program partnerships.
- Manage email campaigns, social media outreach, and relationships with parents, teachers, and local stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain program curriculums, proposals, and logistics.
- Oversee registration, attendance tracking, and other administrative tasks, ensuring accurate record-keeping and operational efficiency.
- Order, maintain, and inventory program equipment and supplies.
- Monitor participant forms, including liability waivers and registration packets.
- Assist with special events, including Oakland Spiders home games and other community activities.
- Address participant behavior issues and resolve staff/parent concerns as needed.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in sports management, education, recreation, or a related field preferred.
- 2 years of experience in youth programming, coaching, or recreational sports.
- Leadership experience in training, recruiting, or program management preferred.
- Experience with Ultimate Frisbee (playing or coaching) is a strong plus.
- Ability to pass a background check prior to hiring.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Proficiency in marketing, social media, and community outreach strategies.
- Familiarity with curriculum development, enrollment strategies, and program logistics.
- Basic administrative skills and proficiency with Google Suite.
- CPR and First Aid certification (required or must obtain prior to start).
- Active and mobile role requiring strength, stamina, and agility.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Location:
- Mobile position throughout the Bay Area; hybrid in-person and remote work required.
- Full-time; salary range $38,000-$48,000.
