OakLeaf Clinics - Foot & Ankle has an exciting new position available to work alongside our foot and ankle surgeon, Dr. Andrea Cifaldi, as a CMA and practice coordinator. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven, self-motivated CMA to gain experience working with Dr. Cifaldi and to assist in expanding her practice!
Dr. Andrea Cifaldi provides comprehensive foot and ankle care for various ages and concerns and is looking to add to her team to support her growing clinic. Dr. Cifaldi, an Eau Claire native, completed her fellowship training at a nationally recognized top reconstructive foot and ankle surgery program and is excited to bring her expertise to the Chippewa Valley. She offers surgical and non-surgical options for many foot and ankle ailments and will work with you to determine the best treatment plan. Outside patient care, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Patrick, and their young children.

Position description
As the CMA and practice coordinator, you will work clinically in a surgically based practice. You will assist in clinical procedures and pre/post-operative patient management. Duties include rooming patients, assisting with procedures, scheduling surgeries, ordering imaging studies (X-ray, CT, MRI, etc.), placing appropriate referrals, coordinating prior authorizations, managing patient phone calls, and completing paperwork to meet patient needs. You will work independently as the practice coordinator to proactively anticipate the clinic's needs, providing administrative support to ensure the practice runs smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional patient care under supervision or scope of licensure
- Greet patients and prepare them for clinical examination
- Facilitate/perform the gathering of patient information and document accordingly
- Prepare and assist with numerous different in-office procedures and injections, including gathering and sanitizing instruments/supplies, drawing up medications, assisting with procedures, and applying dressings under supervision
- Assist in postoperative patient care, including assisting with removal of sutures/staples and dressing changes
- Restock exam rooms, clean instruments, maintain medical supply inventory, and reorder medical supplies as needed
- Coordinate patient care through various communication pools by scheduling follow-up appointments, sending referrals, ordering imaging studies, and managing surgical scheduling
- Fit and dispense orthotics, braces, walking boots, and other DMEs under the direction of the physician
- Return patient phone calls and communicate recommendations to patients over the phone based on the scope of licensure
- Complete patient paperwork as needed
- Work as a team with the physician, office staff, imaging department, and referring providers to provide excellent patient experience in an efficient office setting
- Participate in professional development activities and maintain professional affiliations
- Maintain patient confidentiality
Qualifications
- CMA or LPN
- 2 years of clinical experience(preferred)
- Prior Epic experience (preferred)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to thrive in an efficient, fast-paced clinical environment
- Passionate about providing high-quality, patient-focused care
- Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
- Demonstrate effective communication and excellent interpersonal skills
Salary: Starting at $20.50, commensurate with experience
