A leading global investment firm is seeking an Interim Head of People, North America to cover a maternity leave. The firm partners with prestigious endowments, foundations, and family offices worldwide. With a team of over 350 professionals across multiple global offices, it fosters a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance culture.
As the Interim Head of People, North America, you will lead the regional People function, manage a team of six HR professionals, and drive key global initiatives. You'll be a strategic partner to senior leadership, ensuring HR best practices, compliance, and excellence across all areas, including compensation, talent management, employee relations, people analytics, and governance.
Key Responsibilities:
- People Team Leadership - Manage and mentor a high-performing HR team of 6, overseeing employee lifecycle processes, compliance, and HR operations.
- Stakeholder Management - Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, ensuring HR strategies align with business goals.
- Compensation & Rewards - Lead the firm's global compensation program, oversee salary benchmarking, and drive year-end compensation processes.
- Talent & Performance Management - Manage annual talent reviews, performance development, and promotion processes.
- People Analytics & Headcount Planning - Partner with external consultants and finance teams to oversee headcount reporting and hiring plans.
- Compliance & Governance - Ensure adherence to employment laws, HR policies, and best practices across North America.
- Vendor & Budget Management - Oversee HR vendors, benefits providers, and global People team budgets.
- Employee Relations & Engagement - Provide expert guidance on complex employee relations matters and drive engagement initiatives.
Key Requirements:
- Substantial experience within financial services and high touch organizations.
- Experienced HR Leader - 15 years in human resources, with a proven track record in a senior leadership role within a global or multi-regional organization.
- Experienced working on global compensation programs and managing talent and performance management programs.
- Experienced working on an interim basis and hitting the ground running.
- Strategic & Hands-On - Ability to balance high-level strategy with day-to-day execution in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong Communicator & Influencer - Skilled in stakeholder management, employee relations, and driving HR initiatives.
- Analytical & Detail-Oriented - Expertise in HR analytics, compensation, and performance management.
- Business-Minded & Solution-Oriented - Able to connect people strategies with business objectives.
