Overview :
Biology student employees will work with the supervisor and fellow biology student employees preparing labs for Medical Laboratory Technology, Biology & Microbiology. With laboratory safety as a priority, their duties include handling live / preserved specimens, inventory / organization / preparation of supplies & hazardous and corrosive chemicals, preparation of biohazardous materials, microbiology media and microorganisms, maintenance of cadavers, equipment, and models, light clerical work, and sterilizing equipment and biohazard waste. On occasion student employees will lift materials or equipment heavier than 40 pounds. Student employee will interact with faculty, students, and staff.
