Overview :
The Enrollment Center Financial Aid Specialty student will provide customer service and support to the Financial Aid Office (Suite 1740). The student employee will be trained on administrative tasks, customer service, and be able to deliver information about the College and steps to the financial aid process and related technologies. They will assist in maintaining accurate electronic and paper records for the office. Must follow all federal, state and institutional laws including the Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act. Must be able to work independently when supervisor is out of the office and provide support to other team members. Will work on special projects as needed by staff.
Campus Location : Des Plaines
Length of Employment : 2024-2025 academic year, with opportunity to renew.

Hours available : 15-20 hours a week within regular office hours M-F : 8 : 30 am- 5 : 00 pm
Schedule flexibility : Work schedule flexible to semester course schedule and availability. Once a schedule is accepted, students are expected to follow through with their determined schedule with minimal adjustments.
Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities and Learning Outcomes :
- Greets students and delivers general information (CM, PF)
- Assist students with accessing their financial aid records and information (CM, PF)
- Make and answer phone calls on behalf of the office (CM)
- Office support and record maintenance (scanning / filing, copying) (TC)
- Maintain confidentiality and secure handling of paperwork containing personal or academic information. (PF)
- Communicate with staff and supervisor regarding any challenges or issues that arise during each assignment and collaborate with staff in finding resolutions. (CT, TW)
- Complete other projects as assigned by the supervisor and office staff (PF, TW)
