Job Title: Student Support for Institutional Equity and Inclusion Office
Overview: We seek a motivated student employee to support the department's mission of fostering an inclusive and equitable campus community. This role is an excellent opportunity for students interested in gaining hands-on experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives while developing valuable professional skills.

Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities:
- Draft Campus Communications: Assist in preparing emails, newsletters, and announcements related to special events, programs, and DEI initiatives.
- Design Flyers and Marketing Materials: Use design tools to create visually appealing flyers and graphics for events and programs that promote diversity and inclusion.
- Research Current and Emerging DEI Trends: Conduct research on relevant DEI topics to inform initiatives, programming, and policy recommendations.
- Assist with Special Events and Initiatives: Provide logistical and administrative support for programs, workshops, and other DEI-related events.
- Weekly Reporting: Maintain accurate records of tasks completed, event outcomes, and other department activities through weekly reports.
Candidate Qualifications: Qualified candidates will have the following competencies and skills:
- Currently enrolled as a student at Oakton College in at least six credit hours for the Spring Semester.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Spark, or similar) is a plus.
- Interest in and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
