Essential Functions of the Position:
- Development of curriculum that is hands-on (as appropriate), in collaboration with Continuing Education leaders
- Preparation of instructional materials (as appropriate)
- Delivery of instruction, including being prepared for and meeting courses and laboratories (if appropriate) at scheduled times
- Assess and reflect on student progress
- Classroom management
- Collaboration with Oakton staff and our partners
- Compliance with departmental and institutional policies and procedures including but not limited to submission of final grades
Job Requirements:
- Must have an associates degree or higher in education and significant experience with special education students; significant experience with special education students aged 13 is preferred
- Good knowledge of current special education topics and methodologies
- Experience working with children with a wide range of disabilities
- Must be enthusiastic about working with, and meeting the needs of a special needs population
- Excellent communication skills

Salary is $25/hour and the term of employment is 4/16/25 through 5/9/25.
