The Front Desk Team Member, under both direct and indirect supervision, will provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, checking patients in, assisting patients and visitors, and performing routine clerical and administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing files, and maintaining organization.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Sitting: Approximately 75% of the time.
- Standing/Walking: Approximately 25% of the time.
- Work environment: Medical office setting.
- Must have a positive and professional attitude.
- Ability to lift and move up to 35 pounds to manage equipment deliveries and office supplies.
- Frequent interaction with clients and interoffice personnel, requiring excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Hearing: Must comfortably communicate with patients and staff via telephone and in-person conversations.
- Vision: Ability to focus on detailed tasks, including working with business software and office equipment.
- Exceptional hand dexterity and typing proficiency for operating standard software and office machines.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide outstanding customer service to all patients and visitors.
- Greet patients and callers with a friendly demeanor, addressing inquiries and directing them appropriately.
- Operate and learn new office technologies as they are introduced.
- Maintain and organize electronic files.
- Handle mail, messages, and courier deliveries (collect, sort, distribute, and prepare).
- Provide practice-related information, including office locations, staff contacts, and available services.
- Transmit documents to patients via computer, mail, or fax.
- Represent the practice professionally and courteously at all times.
- Maintain consistent and punctual attendance according to the assigned schedule.
- Effectively manage multiple tasks and deadlines with attention to detail.
- Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Demonstrate active listening and effective communication skills.
- Occasionally travel for continuing education or seminars as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned periodically.
