What are the responsibilities and job description for the Club Director position at Oakwood Creative Care?
🎠Who We Are
We’re not your average adult day program — and we don’t want an average leader.
At Oakwood Creative Care, we believe aging shouldn’t mean the end of joy, creativity, or purpose. We’re a group of bold change-makers, dementia care rebels, and heart-centered humans reimagining what it means to grow older.
Our Sun Lakes Club is a vibrant, social-model day program that will soon evolve into a licensed Adult Day Health program in Chandler — and we’re looking for a fearless, fun, and visionary Club Director to guide the way.
🚀 Your MissionAs Club Director, you’ll be the beating heart of the Club. Your leadership will ensure our Members experience days filled with meaning, laughter, creativity, and connection — all while managing operations, coaching a phenomenal team, and leading our exciting transition into a fully licensed medical model.
You’ll be:
- A coach, mentor, and inspirer to your team, volunteers, and interns.
- A programming wizard, curating monthly calendars full of innovative, enriching experiences aligned with OCC’s philosophy.
- A logistics boss, managing day-to-day ops, staffing, supplies, compliance, and quality assurance.
- A care navigator, ensuring each Member's journey is supported with thorough care plans, assessments, and ongoing communication with families.
- A family ally, providing caregiver education, reassurance, and connection.
- A compliance rockstar, ensuring DHS, AAA, and VA requirements are always met.
- A community connector, championing OCC at events, building partnerships, and staying in the know on trends and resources.
- Oversee daily operations and staffing — vacation requests, certifications, coverage? You’ve got it.
- Conduct interviews, onboarding, and ongoing training/coaching for team members.
- Coordinate Member services: inquiries, tours, interdisciplinary care plans, documentation, and ADL support.
- Ensure the Club is safe, clean, and fully stocked (snacks, paintbrushes, musical instruments — the essentials).
- Track and report member outcomes every 6 months using OCC tools.
- Lead quality management efforts: fire drills, disaster reviews, grievance reporting, Member councils.
- Collaborate with OCC leadership to support fundraising events, outreach, and more
- A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent rockstar-level experience)
- Experience and expertise in dementia care or senior programming
- Confident leadership and top-notch organizational skills
- A bold, creative, and heart-forward personality
- Proficient computer skills (for tracking outcomes, documentation, and maybe making a killer Spotify playlist)
- Fingerprint clearance, TB clearance, and a genuine love for humans
- A deep alignment with our values: Respect. Collaboration. Innovation.
