Job description
We are currently looking to fill the position of Laundry Attendant/Housekeeper at Oakwood Resort. This position will mainly focus on upkeep of hotel linens and all laundry room operations. Team members will also assist with cleaning the resort including, but not limited to: 79 hotel guests' rooms and several vacation homes. The ideal candidate will assist other resort departments as needed during busier times. Housekeeper will report directly to the Housekeeping Manager.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Consistently offers professional, friendly, and engaging service.
- Ensures housekeeping departmental standards are followed.
- Responds timely to guests’ special requests for miscellaneous items like cribs, cots, extra towels, etc.
- Follows departmental policies and procedures.
- Follows all safety and sanitation policies
- Assists other departments when needed to ensure optimum service to guests.
- Performs additional duties as needed.
- Distribute linen, towels and room supplies using wheeled carts or by hand
- Replace dirty linens with clean items
- Store all dirty laundry in line with company policy
- Organize and restock Laundry Room and all Closets at the end of the Shift
PHYSICAL TASKS
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling and stooping.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing less than or equal to 20 pounds without assistance. This position will also require lifting up to 50 lbs with assistance.
- Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Salary: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
