Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team focused on the design, development, and continuous improvement of car wash systems. This role involves hands-on mechanical design, equipment layout planning, and participation in R&D initiatives aimed at innovation and product enhancement. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in 3D CAD software, with a preference for SolidWorks and AutoCAD, and a passion for developing reliable, high-performance systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Development:
Develop detailed 3D models and 2D drawings for new car wash system components, subassemblies, and full systems using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
R&D and Prototyping:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and test new ideas, technologies, and product enhancements in a hands-on R&D environment.
Process & Part Improvements:
Analyze current designs and manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for cost savings, durability improvements, and enhanced performance.
Site Layout & System Integration:
Create site-specific equipment layouts, ensuring optimal space utilization, service access, and workflow efficiency.
Blueprints & Documentation:
Prepare and maintain detailed fabrication drawings, assembly instructions, and technical documentation in compliance with internal standards and industry best practices.
Collaboration:
Work closely with manufacturing, sales, service, and installation teams to ensure seamless integration of designs and address real-world feedback.
Project Management:
Support engineering projects from concept through production, including prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting.
Requirements:
Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
3 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in industrial or automation systems.
Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD (2D and 3D modeling, assemblies, drawings).
Experience with equipment layout planning, and system documentation.
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, pneumatics, structural design, and manufacturing processes.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with fabrication techniques and materials (steel, stainless, plastics).
Knowledge of electrical or control systems is a plus.
Hands-on experience building or testing mechanical prototypes.
