Role Summary
We’re looking for a technical, client-facing Solutions Engineer to lead integrations with our most strategic partners—large enterprise property management companies and platforms. You'll own the end-to-end onboarding process, working across departments (Product, R&D, Sales, Legal, and Customer Success) to deliver tailored, scalable solutions.
This is a hybrid role: part API integration expert, part solutions consultant, part project manager. You'll interface with both technical and business stakeholders and play a key role in expanding our enterprise footprint.
Responsibilities:
- Own technical onboarding and integration projects with enterprise clients, including solution configuration, scripting, and system customization.
- Become an expert on Obligo’s API, data structures, and integration workflows.
- Lead integrations with Property Management Software (PMS) platforms via REST APIs, webhooks, and data syncs.
- Serve as the main technical point of contact for partners throughout implementation and ongoing support.
- Collaborate with R&D and Product teams to improve our API capabilities and influence the roadmap based on client feedback.
- Support pre-sales conversations by advising on solution architecture and implementation feasibility.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to authentication, data mapping, and error handling.
- Build and maintain integration documentation, implementation playbooks, and best practices.
- Ensure integrations meet relevant compliance and security standards.
Requirements:
- 2 years in a technical implementation, solutions engineering, or integration role at a SaaS company.
- OR 5 years in a related field (product, data, analytics, engineering, support) with client-facing technical experience.
- Excellent communication skills—you can break down complex technical topics for non-technical audiences.
- Experienced with REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth, and formats like JSON/XML.
- Comfortable leading multiple projects and working directly with senior-level stakeholders, both internally and on the client side.
- Bonus if you know Python, JavaScript, or SQL for light scripting and troubleshooting.
- Bonus if you’ve worked with finance/accounting software (billing, AR/AP) or property management systems (e.g., Yardi, MRI, Entrata, Appfolio).
- Based in the NYC metro area or planning to relocate. Willing to travel occasionally for on-site client sessions.
Benefits & Perks:
- Competitive base salary and performance-based bonus structure
- Health, Dental, and Vision plans (coverage starts on day one, with generous company contributions)
- 401k with company matching from day one
- Equity options – play a key role in Obligo’s success
- Flexible remote work policy and home office expense reimbursement
- Generous PTO and holiday schedule
- Commuter benefits (pre-tax dollars for transit and parking)
- Professional development opportunities and training programs
- Quarterly team offsites and a vibrant team culture
