Are you an industrial painter tired of traveling to your different job locations, but still want to work in the industry on a variety of projects? If so OCCI might have the position for you. A Painter Forman will be responsible for overseeing our paint projects according to customer specifications. Missouri Fabricators is a division of OCCI, Inc., a growing company with over 40 years of experience in heavy civil construction. Our Fabrication shop is growing with a $9 Million expansion with updated technology, and much more. This person must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be adaptable to change.

Essential Duties:

· Perform work in accordance with the company’s safety practices and procedures.

· Paint using inorganic Zinc coatings.

· Use paint application equipment including Conventional, HVLP, Airless and Air assistant tools in accordance with customer contract requirements and specifications.

· Ability to do basic maintenance on airless pumps and blast pots.

· Ensure pumps are properly flushed and guns are cleaned.

· Prepare paint records and documentation, including dewpoint / humidity and paint application process checklist.

· Properly and safely operate blasting equipment.

· Produce and understand required Material Safety Data Sheets for coating, including application methods thinning, temperatures & humidity requirements.

· Receive & track, and sort coating materials & blast materials and store according to manufacturers’ recommendations.

· Understand customer deadlines and shipping requirements to deliver products on-time; Assure production coordination and shipping.

· Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to safely load, unload, and move materials.

· Be a team player.

· Keep the work area clean and organized.

· Willingness to work in the welding, cutting, or painting department. Training is available.

· Effectively read blueprints.

· Ability to accurately keep track of daily allocation of time spent per assigned task.

· Other duties, as assigned.

· Ability to do basic math.

Qualifications/Education:

· High School diploma or equivalent.

· Ability to measure torch and placement within dimensional tolerances.

· Physical / mental ability to work wearing protective masks and / or within a confined environment.

· Fabrication experience a plus.

· Ability to learn and adapt quickly.

· Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb and crawl over and under fabricated materials.

· Work extensive hours in a non-climate environment.

· Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.

· Familiarity with basic iPad functionality

· Familiarity with basic computer skills (Windows platform)
