Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Assistant Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The Assistant Bookkeeper will play a vital role in supporting the overall financial health of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.
- Process invoices, payments, and other financial transactions accurately and timely.
- Maintain organized records of all financial documents and transactions.
- Utilize accounting software to manage financial data effectively.
- Support tax preparation efforts by gathering necessary documentation.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline bookkeeping processes.
Experience
- Proficiency in accounting software, specifically QuickBooks, is essential.
- Familiarity with financial concepts and principles related to bookkeeping.
- Experience with 10 key typing for efficient data entry.
- Knowledge of bank reconciliation processes and account analysis techniques is preferred.
- Understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements is a plus.
- Previous experience as a clerk or in a similar bookkeeping role is advantageous.
