Occupational Health Care Associates Seeks Occupational Health Nurse
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Health Nurse to join our team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will be a licensed LPN/RN with the ability to perform a variety of duties in a worksite health setting.
- Primary Responsibilities:
- Monitor and facilitate a safe and healthy work environment, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Care for and triage employee injuries and illnesses, documenting all interactions proficiently.
- Serve as an active nurse navigator, providing medical information and resources to employees to support their overall well-being.
- Develop strong relationships with local medical providers to understand company expectations and philosophies.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of successful plant health and safety programs.
- Administer early Return to Work (RTW) programs to ensure timely and safe return of employees to the workplace.
- Coordinate respiratory protection, audiometric, Blood-borne Pathogen, and other employee health and safety programs.
- Provide wellness education through various initiatives, including health fairs, weight management programs, blood pressure screenings, cardiac/diabetes screenings, and smoking cessation programs.
- Assist with Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) compliance as needed.
- Collaborate with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) to maintain accurate OSHA 300 logs.
- Maintain confidentiality of medical records and information in accordance with HIPAA laws.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse LPN/RN license in WI.
- 1-2 years of experience in Workers' Compensation/Occupational Health is preferred, but willing to train.
- Ability to train and develop skills in a dynamic work environment.
- Reliable and punctual with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in relevant software applications.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
