What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Mechanic II position at Occupational Training Center?
- Ensure the Safety of the Equipment
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols for maintenance and operation of processing equipment, rolling stock equipment, power tools, and facility including physical plant systems and equipment.
- Lockout /Tag out Procedures
- Confined Space Procedures
- Machine Guarding Procedures
- Hazardous Materials Management
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols for maintenance and operation of processing equipment, rolling stock equipment, power tools, and facility including physical plant systems and equipment.
- Preventative Maintenance Procedures for all Process Equipment in accordance with procedures of equipment Operations and Maintenance Manuals.
- Need to perform stick and wire fabricate and welding repairs as need it.
- Must have basic knowledge hydraulics and be able to read schematics.
- Need to have a working knowledge of use and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Oversee Operation of Equipment
- Make sure that the preventive maintenance schedule is followed.
- Operate equipment as needed for plant operations
- Report any problems to supervisor.
- Willingly and effectively cooperates with OTC, The Department of Human Services, The Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), and other licensing or state agency or local municipalities in any inspections and investigations, upon request.
