What are the responsibilities and job description for the OBW Food Service Team Member position at Ocean Breeze Waterpark?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete orders by selecting food items from serving or storage areas; cooking food items, placing on tray or container, serving beverages
- Set up kitchens with necessary items, equipment and products for the day
- Maintain a clean serving area by organizing and removing spills and food scraps
- Restocking of supplies at each outlet and condiment stand, may include unloading delivery trucks
- Follow opening and closing procedures in assigned outlet to maintain cleanliness standards
- Assist with catering events, including event setup, event clean up and serving of food
- Collect trash at various food outlets and dispose of at the garbage dumpsters
- Prepare food for sale at outlets and catered events utilizing flat top grills, fryers, steam tables, ovens and additional equipment deemed necessary
- Comply with food handling, sanitation, and storage regulations
- May be crossed trained in other food and beverage outlets
- Wash dishes following sanitation guidelines
- Provide superior guest service to all customers in a polite and expedient manner
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment, and dishes
- Assist customers with questions regarding Ocean Breeze Waterpark
- Follow park policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Ability to accept guidance and supervision
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, team members, and leadership
- Be aware, attentive, and work well with others
- Ability to work in indoor kitchen conditions and outdoor weather conditions while taking precautions, including hydration and sun-protection
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift, carry, move, and/or position items weighing up to 60 pounds, team lift for heavier objects
