What are the responsibilities and job description for the OBW Promotions Team Member position at Ocean Breeze Waterpark?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Make live announcements and schedule recorded versions to be played over our in-park sound system; learn to write and update announcements
- Build or enhance existing skills that lead to the opportunity to learn and use programs like Canva, Constant Contact, WordPress, Promo.com, Jotform, Capcut and posting on social media platforms
- Schedule and update content on our digital big screen
- Support coordination of in-park events like movie nights, passholder exclusive opportunities, team member parties, large-scale group sales rentals, and foam operation from set up to clean up
- Under the direction of leadership, record videos and take photos to be utilized for social media and waterpark materials or be part of video and photo shoots led by outside agencies
- Escort our mascot, Hugh Mongous and host meet and greets with him or other characters
- Orchestrate periodic contests and competitions like bingo, corn hole, limbo and sampling
- Update internal communication pieces like department slips, virtual battle books, and break room posters
- Develop and assemble signage and other point of sale items for all departments as needed
- Uphold waterpark brand standards in all work efforts
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment for customers and other employees
- Provide superior customer service to all customers in a polite and expedient manner
- Assist customers with all questions regarding Ocean Breeze Waterpark including facility layout and amenities
- Follow all park policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 16 years old
- A clear speaking voice
- Writing skills
- Experience with using an iPhone to generate video and photo content preferred
- Ability to accept guidance and supervision
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and co-workers
- Be aware, attentive, and work well with others
- Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions while taking precautions, including hydration and sun-protection
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift, carry, move, and/or position items weighing up to or more than 25 pounds.
